eCogra, a gambling standards authority, has just issued its 107th "Play It Safe" seal to online casinos and poker rooms. eCogra has just proven to be a success as an independent authority regulating online gambling.
eCogra – the online gambling standards and player protection body, eCommerce and online gambling regulation and assurance – has just announced it achieved its target of accrediting 100 online casinos and poker rooms before the end of the year.
eCogra launched a campaign in May with the goal of awarding the seal "Play It Safe" to a total of 100 online casinos and poker rooms. The campaign was a success and eCogra has just issued its 107th seal. We are in August, and eCogra was able to exceed the goal of 100 seals months ahead of the end of the year.
Online gambling is growing and the need to create a safe playing environment protecting players is now a major issue. eCogra is entirely dedicated to this goal, and has been trying to regulate the industry as an independent authority, creating high standards, and assuring a safe gambling environment to players. In just 3 months, eCogra was able to issue more than 30 "Play It Safe" seals to online casinos and poker rooms. This is a major milestone for eCogra and reflects a "real desire and ability for the industry to self-regulate", said eCogra CEO Andrew Beveridge.
