Playing An Online Casino On Mac OSx

Many people have a lot of difficulties to play at an online casino with an Apple computer equipped with Mac OSx. There are some casinos and poker rooms with software versions that run natively on Mac OSx, but almost all are incompatible. Well, incompatible is what we want to change in this article. We will show you a simple solution we applied that had good results. We were able to play a Microgaming Viper Casino inside Mac OSx.
Playing a casino with a software solution that runs natively on Mac OSx is really difficult. Most casinos are not playable in Mac OSx. Even flash casinos are incompatible because they use ActiveX commands that only run when you use Internet Explorer.
There are several solutions that emulate Windows and should let you play, but they are not simple and in one way or another require you to have a Windows install on your mac. You can use Boot Camp, for example, and install Windows, but every time you need Windows you will have to reboot your computer and choose the Windows partition. Then you will have to reboot again when you want to access to your Mac OSx partition. Other solutions are emulators like Parallels. An emulator allows you to run Windows inside your Mac OSx environment. This is a good solution because you don't have to reboot your computer to change OS, but it requires a Windows install.
We want to run a casino without any Windows installation. What to do?
A really good solution is a software called
CrossOver made by Code Weavers. CrossOver allows you to install Windows applications on Mac OSx without installing Windows.
We tried to install the latest Microgaming Viper software version from
All Jackpots Casino on a MacBook Pro through the use of CrossOver. The final result was excellent. We were able to play
All Jackpots Casino on the mac computer without any problems, and inside Mac OSx and without any Windows install.
What do you have to do to run Microgaming on Mac OSx
The answer is really simple. Just go to
CodeWeavers website and download CrossOver for mac. This software does have a cost of $59.95, but you can try it first for free during 30 days. Download the software and install it on your Mac OSx. Go to
All Jackpots Casino (for example), and download the software. Open your CrossOver application and go to Configure > Install Software. Then choose Internet Explorer, and follow the instructions. Installing Internet Explorer is really needed to avoid problems. After installing Internet Explorer choose Configure > Install Software > Install Unsupported Software. Follow the instructions and choose the exe file you downloaded from
All Jackpots Casino. Be patient because it can take some time to install the software. After that, installation will be successful and you can play
All Jackpots Casino as if you were playing on a Windows machine! We tried
All Jackpots casino but other Microgaming casinos should run safely through CrossOver software. We hope this helps all of you who have a mac computer and want to play an online casino without having to run complicated solutions. The worst part of this is the $59.95 cost you will have with CrossOver, but if you were satisfied with the solution, it will simplify your work and worth it.
